Last night, with the echoes of a powerful rendition of 'Open the Eyes of My Heart' still ringing in the rafters, Pastor John Wright wrapped up our week-long revival activities with a message on the tales of four cities, the biblical cities of Sodom and G0morrah, and the modern-day cities of Pontiac and Detroit. He emphasized the love God has for all of His people, including those of the fallen biblical cities, and the fact that it was not the sin itself that destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, but the lack of righteous people in the city (see Genesis 18). The blood of Jesus that covers our sins gives us the privilege of acting as intercessors on behalf of our cities and our nation. Have you prayed for the leaders and the citizens of our homeland today?
